I remember getting to the party to see my friends
I remember getting to the party to see my friends — a cool, vibey, dark restaurant downtown...
I hadn't seen them in ages — they didn't live here anymore — and I waited, hovered, for my turn to hug them both.
When I hugged her — I remember my eyeballs bugging out, and pulling back, stunned for words:
This was THE smell.
I recognized this fragrance. Not because I'd smelled this exact perfume before, but because I 'Knew' it — I Recognized it — there was something familiar and, like, Soul connecting about this scent for me. I asked her what it was.
She said, "Cleopatra."
And I honestly don't remember anything else about that evening. I'm sure there were a bajillion laughs and goofball antics — because that's who he is — but, truly, the only thing I remember is that moment.
And I had NO idea how pivotal that moment would actually be... But my Cosmic Team reminded me this morning how it had to happen exactly that way...
